The Red Deer Rebels have swapped 17 year old forwards with the Prince George Cougars. Heading to Red Deer is Lloydminster, Alberta native 17 year old Ryker Singer. Heading to the Spruce Capital is Arjun Bawa.
Bawa a native of Richmond, BC is in his rookie season with the Rebels and has 5 points so far this season. He was selected 36th overall in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft. Singer the 22nd overall pick in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft has 9 points so far this season.
I have never seen Singer play since the Cougars rarely come out this way. I liked Bawa he was fun to watch and getting better every game. I sort of wish they could of been nice and traded him to somewhere nice like Kelowna. No offence to the city of Prince George ( I lived there many moons ago) its probably last on most players radars. On the bright side 2 young 14 year old kids will also get to head up North next year as Red Deer also sent them a 2nd and a 7th round pick in next years bantam draft.
