Captain Jayden Grubbe, Dwayne Jean Jr., and Marek Schneider were all out of the line up on Saturday nights game against the Saskatoon Blades. Minus some, well a few mistakes (bad ones) in the second period the Rebels could of won this game. The Blades opened up the scoring when Lukas Hansen stripped Mats Lindgren of the puck and the rest of the Red Deer Rebels watched him walk in and score.

Former Prince George Cougar Ryker Singer scored for the Rebels just over two minutes later netting his first as a Rebel and 4th of the year from Craig Armstrong and Jace Weir. That tied the game up but unfortunately that only lasted about 30 seconds as Trevor Wong fired a shot on Rhett Stoesser which he stopped. Not a single player on the ice bothered to cover Conner Roulette who scored his 16th of the season. Three minutes into the second period while the Blades were on the Power Play Blade Jordan Keller fired a shot from the point Stoesser again made the initial save but Rosetown, Saskatchewans Vaughn Watterodt was left alone in the front of the net to take not one but two whacks at the puck to make it a 3-1 game.

Saskatoon Blade and Vancouver native Trevor Wong scored a beautiful goal top left corner at 6:32 of the second period from Egor Sidrov and Tanner Moldendyk. Trevor Wong is on pace to almost get a 100 point season for the Blades this season. Rhett Stoesser was pulled after that (No fault of his own). He was replaced by 16 year old call up Chase Wutzke from the Saskatoon Contacts (SMAAA). Egor Sidorov finished the scoring for the Blades in the second period on a one time goal making the score 5-1. Trevor Wong scored again for the Blades in the third and Ryker Singer did for the Rebels too but that was too late. Blades won 6-2. Blades were also out shot 12 to 3 in the last period.
