During the first 10 minutes of the first period, the Bulldogs showed a dominant performance against the Eagles. However, it was the Eagles who managed to secure the first goal, thanks to St. Albert native Kai Billey, who scored his 5th goal of the season at the 10:51 mark. The goal was set up by Cole Wirun and former Tri City American 16 year old Nick Anismovicz. Not to be outdone, the Bulldogs answered back with a phenomenal Power Play goal just five minutes later. Tyler Wallace scored his 39th goal of the season with an awesome between-the-legs maneuver. The goal was assisted by Brett Meerman and Tanner Willick.

In a turn of events🤪, less than a minute later, the Bulldogs were once again on the Power Play when Jason Siedem shot from the high circles, sending the puck soaring past the goaltender. This goal was set up by Tanner Willick and Layne Loomer. However, the Eagles weren’t about to let the Bulldogs steal the spotlight for long, and less than a minute later, they fired back with a Power Play goal of their own. Lethbridge native Emanuel Hudson found the back of the net with his third goal of the season, thanks to teammates Finn McLaughlin and former Estevan Bruin Logan Ziegler, tying the game up at 2-2.

In the early stages of the second period, precisely at the 1:12 mark, Brendan Ross netted his 16th goal of the season. The goal was assisted by Jason Siedem and Layne Loomer. Later in the period, at 6:59, the Bulldogs extended their lead even further, thanks to Tyler Wallace’s efforts. Wallace managed to score his 40th goal of the season, with the goal assisted by Tanner Willick and Brett Meerman. The Bulldogs’ dominance on the ice was truly impressive👍
Layne Loomer finished off the scoring for the Bulldogs getting his 17th of the season assisted by Brett Meerman and Tyler Wallace. That was all the scoring in the third period.
Other Notes
Bulldogs next game is Saturday March 4th against the Calgary Canucks final home game of the year before the playoffs. Which will be against the Calgary Canucks also.
Attendance in Blackfalds was 817
Bulldogs outshot the Eagles 45-19. Charlie Zolin made 17 saves for the win. Canmore goalie Andrei Proctor-Ramirez got pulled after the second (I think that was the time) for back up San Francisco native Matthew Malin. The goalies got no help what so ever from their teammates. I have to hand it to Canmore goalie Proctor-Ramirez. He has to be one of the smoothest skating goalies I have ever seen. I seen him skate around with the puck in warm up he skated as well and handled the puck as well as all the players. And that is no insult to the other players.
Three stars of the game were 1) Tanner Willick 2) Tyler Wallace 3) Brendan Ross
In other games around the AJHL tonight The Drumheller Dragons beat the Okotoks Oilers 5-1.

Michigans
I truly believe that if you are going to attempt this move in a game anything an opposing player does to you (while you are in the process of attempting it) is fine and legal. That includes hits to the head, spearing, crosschecks, baseball bat swings, ect. If you are going to play like the Mighty Ducks other teams should be allowed to play like Slapshot. 👍🤪

That rule should also apply if a player ever decided to try this equally as stupid move in the future.
