Jhett Larson opened up the scoring for the Rebels at 4:28 of the first period with assists Christoffer Sedoff and Jayden Grubbe.
Jace Isley got his first of the playoffs unassisted at 14:19 of the third period to make it a 2-0 game beating Blades dman Ben Saunderson like a rented mule and making goaltender Austin Elliot wish he took up knitting instead of goaltending.
The Blades finally got on the score board with 1:52 left in the game with Austin Elliot on the bench and the Blades on a 6 on 5 with the extra attacker. Jake Chiasson scored his third of the playoffs from Egor Sidorov and Aidan De La Gorgendiere.
The Blades did push to attempt to get the game to go into overtime but Vegas Golden Knights prospect Christoffer Sedoff crushed that dream when he put the puck into the empty net. To make it a 3-1 Rebels game. Sedoff’s goal was unassisted with 4 seconds remaining on the clock.

The Blades Aidan De La Gorgendiere put his name in Blades history on Mar. 24th, 2023 vs the Pats tying Wendel Clark for the tenth most points by a defenceman in Blades history. Not only that, but he did also it in front of 14,768 fans in the club’s second straight sellout or in other terms it was another night Connor Bedard was in town.
Speaking of Wendell Clark the Blades need to bring back those Cooperalls. Mullets and cheesy moustaches. Imagine a bunch of the Blades guys rocking those things and then walking into good old Stan’s Place for Karaoke night. 👍🤔
In other games around the league all game #1’s. Winnipeg beat Moose Jaw 5-3, Kamloops beat Portland 6-4, and Seattle defeated Prince George 4-1.
