The Bulldogs have acquired forward Gavin Middendorf from the Drayton Valley Thunder in exchange for 2004 defenceman Alexey Trischuk and forward Ty Gordon. Trischuk played in 55 games with the Bulldogs notching 12 points in 55 games. Including the goal of the year against Calgary in February. This is the second defenceman the Bulldogs have traded away this offseason and in return for a forward again.

Ty Gordon (who I almost could of seen being the teams leading scorer next season) was traded also. Gordon played in 4 playoff games last season. Gordon (St. Albert, AB) is a 6th round pick of the Prince Albert Raiders in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft. Gordon played last season for the CAC Canadians U17AAA program where he led the league in scoring with 29 goals 28 assists tallying 57 points to go along with 93 Penalty minutes.

In return the Bulldogs got 19 year old forward Gavin Middendorf who hails from Forest Lake, Minnesota. Middendorf played in 55 games with the Thunder scoring 39 points. Middendorf was also one of the four finalists for rookie of the year (Layne Loomer was another). Best of luck to Trischuk and Gordon in Drayton it was a blast watching them here.👍
