This trade will forever be known as the Ty Trade. 3 guys involved. All known as Ty. It is to early also to tell if the trade was in fact actually a tie too or if one team won the trade. 🤔Too bad Weyburn still didn’t have that KFC 🍗🐔they had years ago. It was like a buffet. Place was cool. That alone would of had me demanding a trade there👍.
Tyler Teasdale who is entering his 20 year old season played in 51 games season with the Bulldogs scoring 18 points. Teasdale also had a kick ass playoffs last season. Oh yeah and in the summer he won a gold medal for Canada at the U20 World Ball Hockey Championships in the Czech Republic. It was a pleasure watching Teasdale play last season here and it sucks to see him go. Want nothing but the best for that guy it was great watching him play with the Bulldogs.
They sent another player that they acquired in the offseason from the Princeton Posse of the KIJHL Tyler Russell. Princeton? I remember 25 years ago guys wondering how a town like Grand Forks could have a team in any league. But Princeton all thats there is a fruit stand🤷♂️
In Return the Bulldogs received forward Ty Mason a 2005 born who is committed to Western Michigan. The same school that Jayden Joly and Otto Hanson are committed to. Mason scored 57 points (25 goals, 32 assists) in 56 regular season games for Weyburn in his sophomore season. He posted 5 goals (2 goals, 3 assists) in 5 playoff games for the Red Wings. I heard through someone in Saskatchewan who watched the Red Wings regularly that the Bulldogs are getting a great player here.
