The Calgary Flames made an official announcement, unveiling the roster and schedule for their highly-anticipated 2023-24 prospect training camp. It appears that a number of NCAA players won’t be making an appearance, and this list includes notable names like Jake Boltmann, Aydar Suniev, Arsenii Sergeev, and Cade Littler (although he’s committed to the NCAA, he’ll be with the USHL (Cedar Rapids) instead).Additionally, some overseas players like Topi Ronni and Yegor Yegorov aren’t on the initial list, likely due to their current commitments in different parts of the world. Unfortunately, Axel Hurtig, who was selected by the Flames in the seventh round of this year’s draft, won’t be participating either, as he’s currently sidelined due to an injury.
