The Bulldogs just lost a game and outshot the team that wears A&W stickers on their flipping helmets🤦‍♂️That is like losing to guys that wheel their equipment into the arena. You know wheelie bags.

Adam Raesler opened up the scoring for the Dragons only 1:27 into the game with the assist on the goal to Coy Pighin. Then just 21 seconds later Calgary native and rookie Austin Osiway gets his first goal of the season to make it a 2-0 game at 1:48 of the first period. Assist on the goal to former Bulldog Connor Poffenroth.

At 5:31 of the first period Brendan Ross scored to make it a 2-1 game. Edward Moskowitz was behind the net looking for a person to pass to. Seems when he couldn’t find one he just used Ross as a prop in a bank shot. Its good for Ross’s 4th goal of the season. Assist to Edward Moskowitz and Layne Loomer.

Easton Adrian made it a 3-1 game for the Dragons at 14:11 with assists on the goal going to 2 former Bulldogs Connor Poffenroth and Kai Matthew. At 15:17 Kai Matthew scored his first of the season for the Dragons to give them a 4-1 lead. With assists on the goal to Vann Wilder. After that goal it was the end of Noah Davis’ night for the Bulldogs and Ethan Morrow entered the net.

Carter Patterson made it a 4-2 game at 16:45 of the first period. Assists on the goal going to Layne Loomer and Brendan Ross. Nice goal from Patterson who along with Layne Loomer seemed to be the only 2 Bulldogs that showed up on most occasions in the game. Then right after 17 year old veteran Jacob Goudreau made it a 5-2 game on the Power Play at 17:14 of the first period. Assists on the goal to Easton Adrian and Adam Raesler.

First period Blackfalds outshot the Dragons 20-12.

This is seriously what the second period appeared like to fans in the stands

17 year old Vancouver native Jamie Hikida scored between the legs of Ethan Morrow to make it 6-2 with the assist on the goal to Rimbey native Keegan Beagle. Thats Hikida’s first career AJHL goal. Calgary native Aidan Larose rounded out the period scoring for the Dragons making it 7-2 with 34 seconds remaining in the second period. Assist on the goal to Jamie Hikida. The Bulldogs again out shot the Dragons in the second period 18-7. If you can have a lead in any sport after having only a couple of garbage shots it is time you buy something like a lotto ticket for the 6/49.

1:12 into the third period Brendan Ross cut the lead to 7-3 with assists from Edward Moskowitz and David Brandes.

Captain Vann Yuhas scored his first goal of the season for the Dragons at 13:43 on the Power Play. Assists on the goal to Jacob Goudreau and Austin Reschny on the Power Play to make it an 8-3 game.

They were taking shots at Patterson all game. They should consider them self privileged that they are not leaving in a stretcher.

All game The Dragons were taking cheap shot after cheap shot on defenceman Carter Patterson. I seem to notice and I notice it a lot guys that were not tough last season are all of a sudden invincible warriors out there with cages on.

Vancouver native Jordan Luk made it a 9-3 game with a shorthanded goal. Assist on the goal to Jamie Hikida shorthanded.

The Bulldogs outshot the Dragons 50-29.

Former Spruce Grove Saint goalie 20 year old Jamieson Kaine made 47 saves for the win. While Noah Davis and Ethan Morrow split the duties for Blackfalds.

Attendance 502. Which is expected for a Tuesday night.

Next game is Friday September 22nd in Okotoks against the Oilers and then Saturday the 23rd against the Oilers again in Blackfalds.

Former Bulldog netminder Charlie Zolin got a win with the Camrose Kodiaks against the Brooks Bandits Tuesday night 3-1.
