It was domestic beer night at the Peavy Mart Centrium Saturday night. Doesn’t affect me though as I bring my Jack from home as I am a cheap skate.😁 The Rebels beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes Saturday night 3-1. Which was nice going into a 4 game road tour next. Considering the sad affair last night🙄 A lot of tip ins this game.

Red Deer got into penalty trouble as the Hurricanes had four power play opportunities in the first period but could not do squat with the man advantage. But The Hurricanes opened up the scoring in the game at 3:21 of the 1st period when Brayden Edwards deflected a shot by Swift Current native Joe Arntsen with the second assist going to 2023 Toronto Maple Leafs 6th round pick Noah Chadwick (4 on 4).

Hurricanes outshot the Rebels 12-7 in the first period

Ollie Josephson torpedoed down the right side of the ice like a boss and ties the game up at 4:09 second with the assists from Hunter Mayo and Mats Lindgren.

Talon Brigley scores his second goal of the season at 5:58 of the second period when he tipped an Elias Carmichael shot and Ollie Josephson.

Hurricanes outshot the Rebels 11-8 in the second period.

Frantisek Formanek adds some insurance and makes it a 3-1 game unassisted at 17:15 of the third period. The goal was in all reality set up and the result of Kai Uchacz getting a break away. He in all reality should of got an assist. Oh well just points. The Rebels did outshoot the Hurricanes in the third period with the shots being 14-11 Rebels. The Hurricanes pulled Meningitis for the extra attacker at the end of the game, combined with a pair of late power plays with less than a minute remaining, but the Hurricanes could not score on Kyle Kelsey because he is that good of a goalie.

Three stars of tonights game 1) Talon Brigley 2) Olli Josephson 3) Brayden Edwards
