The Bulldogs beat the Drumheller Dragons 7-5 Tuesday night in Blackfalds. Marking their 9th straight win in a row. I am just taking a wild guess that that would be the franchise record at least since moving to Blackfalds.

The Dragons opened up the scoring at 6:07 of the first period when 18 year old Kamloops, BC native Nolan Viesner scored his first AJHL goal. The assists on the goal to Keegan Beagle and Jacob Goudreau. Tanner WIllick responded back for the Bulldogs scoring his second goal of the season assisted by Jayden Joly at 11:09. The game is tied at 1 apiece.

Dakota MacIntosh fired home a Power Play goal at 14:10. The assists on the goal went to Edward Moskowitz and Tanner Willick. The goal was announced over the PA as Moskowitz. Doesn’t really matter the Bulldogs now had a 2-1 lead.

The Dragons however tied it up before the end of the first period when University of Alaska Fairbanks commit Cyle Clayton got his 3rd goal of the season through a maze of traffic when he shot it from the point. Assists on the goal to Austin Reschny and Canton, Michigan native Aiden Connell. Canton, Michigan eh🤔🤔 Not that I go out of my way to watch this show but my wife always has it on and there is a guy on the show who is from Canton, Michigan. Ironically enough showing his face on TV as I write this.

Reality TV Goof Gino Palazzolo is also from Canton, Michigan. Shots in the first period were 13-10 Bulldogs.

Former Bulldogs Kai Matthew scored a nice goal for his 4th goal of the season at 2:33 of the second period. The assists on the goal to other former Bulldog Connor Poffenroth and Aidan LaRose.

Layne Loomer buried his 4th goal of the season to tie the game up at 3 at 7:19. With the assists on the goal to Otto Hanson and Connor Dick.

Kody Willick then gave the Bulldogs a 4-3 lead when he scored his first of the season against his former team. The assist on the goal to Carter Patterson at 10:31.

Adam Raesler tied the game back up for the Dragons at 12:07 on the Power Play with the assist on the goal going to Vann Yuhas. Another goal that was scored through a maze of traffic. The Dragons are really good at screening the goalie. Like really good. Gino’s brother or friend or what ever was sitting blocking the goalie just like he was doing on the Cyle Clayton goal. Maybe he learned how to do that screening from Gino🤔

Josh Knittig gives the Bulldogs the lead making it 5-4 when he scored his second goal of the season. The assists on the goal going to Ryan Shaw and Kody Willick at 16:33. That line had been playing great all game and it showed getting their second goal of the period.

Then Eddie Moskowitz scores a Power Play goal (his 6th of the season) to make it a 6-4 game with 13 seconds remaining in the second period. The assist on the goal going to Tanner Willick. Shots on goal in the second period were 14-8 Dragons

The Dragons pulled their goalie with well over 3 minutes remaining in the game. Aiden Connell was sitting infront of the net again screening and the Dragons scored. Connell got it from Vann Yuhas and Ryan Henderson at 17:29 of the third period to make it a 6-5 game.

Dakota MacIntosh scored his 12th goal of the season on the empty net to seal the deal and make it a 7-5 victory for the Bulldogs.

Shots on goal in the third period were 9-8 Bulldogs. For the game the Bulldogs outshot the Dragons 36-26.

Ethan Morrow made 21 saves for the win for the Bulldogs. While Jameson Kaine who was also faced with some tough shots made 29 saves for the Dragons.

Three Stars of the game were 1) Tanner Willick 2) Kody Willick 3) Aidan Connell.

Attendance was 478

Bulldogs next game is Friday October 20th in Camrose against the Kodiaks. Their next home game is Saturday October 21st against Spruce Grove Saints.

The Brooks Bandits who with their win Tuesday against Fort McMurray have also won 9 games in a row. The Bulldogs and Bandits play on Tuesday October 31st in Blackfalds.

Former Bulldog Captain and all time Bulldog leading scorer Brett Meerman scored his first NCAA goal against Bowling Green. SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana hockey soared to a weekend sweep over Bowling Green with a 4-1 win Sunday night to cap off its inaugural home weekend.

You get the point but the Twitter people used the Canmore game scorers (last Saturday’s game) instead of the one that just happened.
