First Rebels/Tips game in Red Deer since Dec. 20/2019. Netminder Rhett Stoesser was honored prior to the game as player of the month for November, guy has been amazing.
Kai Uchacz scored the teddy bear goal with 11 seconds remaining in the first period with the assists to Kalan Lind and Frantisek Formanek.– On the annual Tuque and Teddy Bear Toss night, the stuffed animals and winter gear littered the ice after Kai Uchacz scored at 19:49 of the opening period, one-timing a two-on-one feed from Kalan Lind past netminder Tyler Palmer.
Shots on goal in the first period was 15-6 for the Rebels.
Tarin Smith evened up the game for the Silvertips with a nice toe drag shot at 1:28 of the second period with the assists to 17 year olld Finnish import Julius Miettinen and Victoria, BC native Ty Gibson. -The visitors pulled even early in the second period when Tarin Smith connected with a rising shot from the left circle.
Talon Brigley responded for the Rebels making it a 2-1 game at 3:51 of the second period. Assists on the goal to Hunter Mayo and Jhett Larson.– Talon Brigley restored Red Deer’s lead just over two minutes later with a redirect of a point shot by Hunter Mayo.
19 year old Parker, Colorado native Beau Courtney scored his 6th goal of the season to tie the game at 2 at 7:33 of the middle frame. With the assists on the goal going to 20 year old Kelowna native Teague Patton and former Flin Flon Bomber Rylan Pearce. -Beau Courtney notched an equalizer with a shot from the right circle just under four minutes later
Shots on goal in the second period were 12-7 for the Rebels. The game went through a third period and overtime which solved nothing and sent the game into a shoot out.

Chase Wutzke made 22 stops on the 24 shots that he faced for the win. While 20 year old veteran and former Victoria Royal and Spruce Grove Saint Tyler Palmer made 40 saves on the 42 shots that he faced for the Silvertips.
