The Tigers do not have game day sheets or programs. Not even a sheet and thats the least of the worries at the arena. Maybe they are trying to be environmentally friendly in Medicine Hat. Either way I have said it before and I will say it again the Tigers moving to Coop place was the worst decision in WHL history. It is depressing watching games there. The atmosphere seems a billion times worse every time I go. That compared to when they had the team downtown and it was the best place to watch the WHL.

Matthew Gard opened up the scoring for the Rebels at 16:11 of the first period. With the assists from Jerimiah Roberts and Elias Carmichael.The visitors opened the scoring late in the first period as Matthew Gard potted his fifth of the season, converting a rebound of a shot by linemate Jeramiah Roberts.

Whitehorse, Yukon native Gavin Mckenna tied the game up for the Tigers at 17:36 of the first period from Oasiz Wiesblatt and 2021 Washington Capitals sixth rounder Dru Krebs. The Tigers answered back roughly 90 seconds later with Gavin McKenna burying a centering pass from Wiesblatt.

Shots on goal in the first period were tied at 8 each.

Oasiz Wiesblatt gave the Tigers the lead on the Power Play at 11:34 from Andrew Basha and Gavin McKenna.The Tigers then assumed a 2-1 lead on the power play at 11:34 of the second period as Wiesblatt fired a shot from the  high slot that found its way past a screened Wutzke.

Shots on goal in the second were 7-6 Rebels

Hunter Mayo tied the game back up for the Rebels at 1:47 of the third period on the Power Play with the assists going to Ollie Josephson and Samuel Drancak.-But Red Deer took advantage of their third man advantage opportunity of the contest when defenceman Hunter Mayo connected with a wrist shot from the blueline early in the third period.

Shots in the third period were 13-12 Rebels

Oasiz Wiesblatt scored the winner in overtime while on the Power Play with the assist going to Andrew Basha.The game was on the verge of going to a shootout when Oasiz Wiesblatt notched his second goal of the game on a power play with 7.3 seconds remaining in extra time, beating netminder Chase Wutzke to the short side from deep in the left circle.

The Tigers outshot the Rebels 4-1 in overtime. The Tigers ended up outshooting the Rebels in the game 30-29.

Brandon, Manitoba native Ethan McCallum made 27 saves on the 29 shots that he faced for the win for the Tigers. While Chase Wutzke stopped 27 of the 30 shots that he faced for the Rebels.

Rebels next game is Friday January 5th against the Tigers at the Peavey Mart Centrium in Red Deer.
