I don’t want to sound like an asshole but that first period of play was god awful by the Bulldogs. That whole team should be bag skated for hours because of that. But they should allow Gabe Gratton to sit at center ice in a lawn chair and enjoy a beverage while he watches them. There are not alot of positives to say about this night.
Minnesota State commit Evan Sundar opened up the scoring for the Saints 2:09 into the game with the assists going to Stephen Kirkpatrick and Stouffville, Ontario native Ryan Harvey.
Banff, Alberta native Keifer Miller made it a 2-0 Saints game at 15:33 of the first period with the assists going to Ethan Kronewitt and Adam Lang.
Former Yorkton Terrier Dylan Ruptash makes it a 3-0 game at 15:47 of the first period with the assists going to Adam Lang and Evan Sundar. The Bulldogs pulled Gratton after that goal which was on his 19th shot that he faced. The Bulldogs did the same thing to Maxfield the other night. Gratton got absolutely no help and the Bulldogs looked worse than I have ever seen them play.
Shots in the first period were 20-5 for the Saints.

Tanner Willick scores one from the point on the 5 on 3 power play to make the score 3-1 at 16:42 of the second period. The assists on the goal went to Dakota MacIntosh and Brendan Ross.
Daniel North and his bird cage made it 4-1 on a powerplay with 9 seconds left in the second period. Which was a horse crap call for something Tanner Willick never did. Like the other kid just fell beside Willick and he got a penalty. The assists on that goal went to Carson Brisson and Dylan Ruptash.
Shots on goal in the second period were 16-11 for the Bulldogs.
Ethan Kronewitt made it a 5-1 when he scored five hole at 6:42 of the third period with the assists going to Chicago native Alexander Babich and former Camrose Kodiak Carson Brisson. I will leave out the fact that the whole goal was caused by a stupid clearing attempt by the Bulldogs.
Josh Sale scored for the Bulldogs at 15:32 of the third period to make it a 5-2 game with the assists going to Otto Hanson and Kody Willick.
Dyaln Ruptasch gets his second goal of the game for the Saints at 16:24 of the third period to make it a 6-2 game. The assists on the goal went to Daniel North and Alexander Babich.

Ben Feenan got his first goal as a Bulldog on a weird shot from the point to make it a 6-3 at 16;43 of the third period. The assists on the goal went to James Johnson and Dakota MacIntosh.
Shots on goal in the third period were 13-8 for the Saints. The Saints outshot the Bulldogs 44-29 in the game.
Alexander Scheiwiller stopped 26 of the 29 shots that he faced for the win for the Saints. Gabe Gratton made 16 stops on the 19 shots that he faced in the first 15 minutes of the game before being replaced by Wilson Maxfield after the third goal. Maxfield stopped 22 of the 25 shots that he faced in just over 2 periods of play. Gratton got absolutely no help in that first period. It was like the rolls were reversed from last game when Maxfield got absolutely no help at the beginning against Brooks.
Three Stars of the game were 1) Dylan Ruptash 2) Evan Sundar 3) Brendan Ross
Attendance at Grant Fuhr Arena in Spruce Grove was 783
Rebels next game is Friday March 1st in Okotoks against the Okotoks Oilers. The Bulldogs net home game is March 8th against the Sherwood Park Crusaders.
