Alexander Babich strikes first and scores for the Saints to make it 1-0 with the assist on the goal going to Keifer Miller at 4:54 of the first period.
Ryan Johnstone makes it a 2-0 game at 7:08 of the first period with the assist from Josh Polak and Dylan Ruptasch. Josh Polak is a black ace for the Saints. I had never heard of a Black Ace in this league until Brooks did it last game ironically enough against the Saints last weekend with a player. Sort of a silly rule and a little bit of a kick in the ass for the kid healthy scratched tonight who worked hard all season for the Saints.
Jayden Joly gets the Bulldogs on the board at 16:43 of the first period banking in his own rebound to get the Bulldogs within a goal. The goal was unassisted.
Shots on goal in the first period were 9-8 for the Saints
Dakota MacIntosh shoots the puck on net and Hunter Brown tips it in and ties the game up at 2 just 16 seconds into the second period. The secondary assist went to Alexander Dimitriadis. I don’t even think Schweiller had a chance to think there. Always goes to show it never hurts to just shoot the puck.
Ryan Harvey scores for the Saints to make it 3-2 with the assists going to Dylan Ruptasch and Josh Polak
Dakota MacIntosh plows down the ice like a combat tank and ties the game up at 3 with the assists going to Hunter Brown and Alexander Dimitriadis at 15:45 of the second period.
Shots in the second period were 12-11 for the Saints
How Dakota MacIntosh and or Hunter Brown did not score on this opportunity here is still mind boggling. MacIntosh hit the post it bounced off the goalie. A Saint defender almost put it in his own net after yet it still managed to not go in. The Gods are angry.
Michigan Tech commit Ryder Matter scored on the Power Play to give the Saints a 4-3 lead with the assist going to Dylan Ruptasch who got his third assist of the game.
Alexander Dimitriadis tips in a Tanner Willick shot at 16:44 of the third period to tie the game up at 4.
