In Game #2 of the Medicine Hat Tigers and Red Deer Rebels playoff series last night, the Tigers secured a 3-1 victory, evening the series at one game apiece. The Rebels’ Ollie Josephson scored their only goal in the third period, but it was not enough to overcome the Tigers’ strong performance. Despite the Rebels’ pushback and a total of 18 shots in the third period to the Tigers whopping 3.

Gavin McKenna makes it a 1-0 Tigers game when he gets his second goal of the playoffs just 21 seconds into the game. Assist on the goal went to Hunter St. Martin.Gavin McKenna opened the scoring for the Tigers, when he grabbed a lose puck in front of Red Deer goalie Chase Wutzke after it deflected off a defender in front.

Reid Andresen makes it a 2-0 game at 9:22 of the second period with the assists on the goal to Gavin McKenna and Andrew Basha.-Reid Andresen made it 2-0 at 9:22, three seconds after the end of a Red Deer penalty.

Cayden Lindstrom scores his first goal since returning from injury at 15:28 on the Power Play to make it a 3-0 Tigers game. The assists on the goal went to Andrew Basha and Gavin McKenna.Cayden Lindgren then tipped in a point shot on the power play at 15:28.

Shots on goal in the second were 12-7 for the Tigers

Ollie Josephson scores his second goal of the playoffs to get the Rebels on the board at 6:32 of the third period. The assists on the goal went to Carson Latimer and Luke Vlooswyk. Thats Vlooswyk’s first WHL point.

Shots on goal in the third period were 18-3 for the Rebels. The Rebels ended up outshooting the Tigers 31-26.

Zach Zahara made 30 saves on the 31 shots that he faced for the win for the Tigers. Chase Wutzke stopped 23 of the 26 shots that he faced for the Rebels.
