PRAGUE, Czechia — Connor Bedard had two goals and one assist in helping lead Canada to a 5-1 win over Denmark on Sunday at the world hockey championship.

Connor Bedard scored, but yet Its getting reviewed as Bunting was in the crease but he was pushed in the crease, so its on video review. And its a goal 1-0 Canada Bedard from Bunting at 2:49 of the first period. The goal had no chance on the puck his team mate should of been a little more considerate.

Dylan Cozens makes it 2-0 for Canada when he scores from the point on the power play from John Tavares and Bowen Byram at 15:25 of the first period. The Workhorse from Whitehorse. Cozens is the highest ever drafted player from the Yukon. Which will be broken it 2026 when McKenna gets drafted. Those guys will be key pieces on future when they have real International Tournaments again with the best of best and all the countries especially Russia.

Christian Wejse scored for the Danes at 6:15 of the second period. The assists on the goal went to Frederik Storm and Morten Poulsen. Wesje plays on the Fischtown Panthers of the DEL in Germany. He is one of 4 from that team playing for the Danish team. Wesje also had a brief stint in North America in 2016-17 when he played 23 games in the QMJHL with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. He got 2 goals and 1 assist while there.

Connor Bedard scores his second goal of the game to make it 3-1 Canada at 1:52 of the third period. The assist went to Dylan Guenther. I wonder if Guenther will be playing in Utah next season or with their farm team which will it still be in Tucson. I imagine it would stay their for at least another season. Guenther played in 29 games with the Tucson Roadrunners of the AHL last season getting nearly a point a game. He was also a key part in the Seattle Thunderbirds purchasing their WHL title in 2022-23.
Newfie Dawson Mercer scores on the empty net to make it a 4-1 game. The assist on the goal went to Jack McBain and Brandon Tanev.
Pierre Luc Dubois scored on the Power Play at 19:39 of the third period with the assists going to Connor Bedard and Olen Zelwegger

Shots on goal in the third period were 26-5 for Canada with Canada outshooting the Danes 42-20 in the game.
Jordan Binnington made 19 saves on the 20 shots that he faced for the win for Canada. For the Danes Frederik Dichow made 37 saves on the 41 shots that he faced. Dichow was a 5th round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in the 2019 NHL draft. He currently place at HV71 in the Swedish Elite League.
