Canada secured a crucial 3-2 victory over Switzerland, positioning themselves as the leader in Group A with 17 points. The Swiss face Finland next, while Canada battles host Czechia. The game’s turning point came with Kevin Fiala’s kneeing major and game misconduct, allowing Canada to capitalize on the power play. Dylan Cozens scored two goals, tying the tournament lead, and Nick Paul contributed one goal. Captain John Tavares and Andrew Mangiapane provided assists in the hard-fought win.

That point made Cozens tie the Canadian team points lead with Bedard at 6. Bedard has went pointless in the last 2 games though.

Kevin Fiala got kicked out of the game for trying to take the knees out of Dylan Cozens and got a 5 minute major. Like Ulf Samuelsson use to do.

Nick Paul then puts Canada on the top 3-2 while the Canadians were on the Power Play with a beautifully set up goal. at 10:29 of the second period. The assists on the goal went to Andrew Mangiapane and Dylan Cozens. On the Hockey Canada website it says Kaiden Guhle got the goal. I mean its obvious there it was Nick Paul. (If you have seen this Hockey Canada website, it is horrible. It is their official website and its a joke. Like this is a hobby website a few of us guys have who aren’t pros and its not business so I’m not bashing theirs and then saying oh this is better. It is just they are suppose to be professional and it is far from)
Shots on goal in the second period were 11 to 7 for Canada
There was no scoring in the third period and each teams got 6 shots apiece. Canada outshot the Swiss in the game 23-22.
Jordan Binnington made 19 saves on the 21 shots that he faced for the win for the Canadians. For the Swiss Leonardo Genoni made 20 saves on the 23 shots that he faced.
Canada’s next game is Tuesday against the Czechs. And the Czechs will have David Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha who are on their way over to play.
