The Rebels will have their inter squad game on Tuesday September 3rd at 7pm.
The Rebels bid farewell to several key players during the offseason, including 20-year-olds Kai Uchacz, Carson Latimer, and Elias Carmichael. Additionally, they lost 19-year-old defenseman Mats Lindgren, who played a crucial role on the backend. Lindgren signed a one-year AHL contract with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins earlier this summer. These departures will leave significant gaps in the team’s roster, but it also presents an opportunity for younger players to step up and make their mark. Furthermore, veteran forward Frantisek Formanek returned to Europe to pursue professional opportunities. I never looked that hard or asked but am curious as to why Dwayne Jean Jr and Steven Steranka are not at camp. Jean Jr could be due to the 20 year old factor. I am not certain. Will find out soon.
