The Blackfalds Bulldogs have made a trade by sending veteran Dman Trent LeDrew to the Prince George Spruce Kings. In return the Bulldogs get 2006-born defenceman Aidan Souligny and 2006-born forward Jared Langdon.
Souligny is from Navan, Ontario and already has a commitment to Boston University. The 6’2, 207 pound defenceman played in 10 games with the Spruce Kings and recorded 1 goal and 3 assists. Last season, he had 5 assists in 42 games played between the Prince George Spruce Kings and the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.
Langdon hails from Belleville, Ontario and has an NCAA Division I commitment to Clarkson University. He played in 5 games with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL and recorded one assist. Last season with the Spruce Kings, he had 5 goals and 13 points in 41 games played. Langdon also spent the 2022-23 season with the Wellington Dukes of the OJHL. While in Wellington he was teammates with former Bulldogs Edward Moskowitz, Ethan Morrow, and Matheson Mason.
LeDrew played 57 games in a Bulldogs uniform (27 AJHL & 30 BCHL) scoring 5 goals and 9 assists. Unless a playoff matchup somehow ensues against the Spruce Kings we won’t see him back in Blackfalds this season. As the Bulldogs played them in the showcase.
The Bulldogs also made a trade with the Brooks Bandits getting Jack Sullivan in return for future considerations. Sullivan is a 6’1 174 pound D man from Buffalo New York who played last season with Nichols school in Buffalo. He led the team by a large margin in scoring there. He is committed to Vermont.
On another note Tyler Wood who tried out with the Bulldogs and left or maybe got cut, I have no clue, is now playing for the Acadia-Bathurst Titan of the QMJHL. 🤔🤔
