The Lethbridge Hurricanes staged a dramatic comeback, scoring three crucial goals in the final period to defeat the Red Deer Rebels 5-3 at VisitLethbridge.com Arena. This marks the first instance this season where the Rebels have failed to secure a win after leading going into the third period, dropping their record to 7-1 in such scenarios.

Ollie Josephson scored his fourth of the season with a wrister through traffic on the Power Play to make it a 1-0 Rebels game at 1:24 of the first period. The assists on the goal went to Jaxon Fuder and Hunter Mayo.

20 year old Abbotsford native Brayden Edwards tied the game up for the Hurricanes at 4:43 on the Power Play. The assists on the goal went to Logan Wormald and Captain Noah Chadwick.

Hunter Mayo made it a 2-1 game for the Rebels on the Power Play when he scored his 7th goal of the season at 9:01 of the first period. The assists on the goal went to Jaxon Fuder and Carson Birnie. Mayo leads all WHL defenceman in goals.

Shots on goal in the first period were tied at 8 each

19 year old Swiss Import Leo Braillard ties the game up for the Hurricanes on the Power Play at 5:50 of the second period. The assists on the goal went to Noah Chadwick and 2024 Nashville Predators 3rd round selection Miguel Marques.

Jhett Larson scored a short handed marker for the Rebels to make it a 3-2 game at 14:24 of the second period. The assist on the goal went to Matthew Gard. The sole reason that the Rebels got that goal is they forechecked the crap out of the Hurricanes who panicked and gave the puck up.

Shots on goal in the second period were 11-10 for the Rebels

Prince George, BC native Miguel Marques ties the game up at 3 with an unassisted goal at 14:49 of the third period.

Saskatoon native Kash Andresen gives the Hurricanes the lead at 17:18 of the third period with the assists on the goal going to Kooper Gizowski and Logan McCutcheon.

Miguel Marques gets his second goal of the night unassisted on the empty net to make it a 5-3 Hurricanes game to seal the deal at 18:48 of the third period.

Shots on goal in the third period were 12-7 for the Hurricanes with the Hurricanes outshooting the Rebels 30-26 in the game

Brady Smith made 23 saves on the 26 shots that he faced for the win for the Hurricanes. For the Rebels Chase Wutzke made 25 saves on the 29 shots that he faced.
