The Red Deer Rebels faced off against the Lethbridge Hurricanes once again on a Saturday, following their recent defeat in Lethbridge. This marked the second encounter between the two teams in consecutive weekends, as Red Deer aimed to recover from their last loss.
Miguel Marques scored on the Power Play top shelf on the shortside in close to make it a 1-0 game for the Hurricanes at 18:24 of the first period. The assists on the goal went to a pair of lower mainland BC guys natives in Logan Wormald and Brayden Edwards.

Beckett Hamilton notched his second goal of the season at 4:56 of the second period with the assist on the goal going to Evan Smith.
Captain and Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick Noah Chadwick scores his second goal of the season from the high slot on the Power Play. The assists on the goal went to Brayden Edwards and Logan Wormald at 6:27 of the second frame.
Matthew Gard ties the game back up just 13 seconds later at 6:40 of the second period. The assist on the goal went to Jace Weir. Weir shot the puck on the net and I don’t know what Gard did, but who cares the pucks in the net and its a 2-2 game.
Carson Birnie gives the Rebels the lead to make it a 3-2 game for the Rebels on the Power Play from in close at 12:20 of the second period. The assists on the goal went to Jaxon Fuder and Ollie Josephson.
Talon Brigley gets some insurance at 13:37 of the second period to make it a 4-2 game just 77 seconds later. The assists on the goal went to Trae Wilke and Matteo Fabrizi
16 year old Duncan, BC native Gavin Lesiuk scores his first career WHL goal for Lethbridge at 16:28 of the second period with the assists on the goal going to Noah Chadwick and Clavet, Saskatchwan native Carson Adair.
Shots on goal in the second period were 11-9 for the Rebels.
Samuel Drancak scores his first goal of the season on an amazing wrap around goal to make it a 5-3 game at 9:09 of the third period. The assists on the goal went to Talon Brigley and Hunter Mayo.
Brayden Edwards scores for the Hurricanes at 16:54 of the third period to get the game within one. The assists on the goal went to Logan McCutcheon and Miguel Marques.
Shots on goal in the third period were 11-9 for the Rebels. The Rebels outshot the Hurricanes in the game 35-21.
Chase Wutzke made 17 saves on the 21 shots that he faced for the win for the Rebels. For the Hurricanes Koen Cleaver made 30 saves on the 35 shots that he faced.
