Among the headline talent for Team USA will be forward Will Moore and defenseman Charlie Trethewey, each of whom are projected first-round picks at this stage of the season. Cole McKinney, Jack Murtagh, Mooney and a host of others are also draft-eligible talent expected to compete for Team USA in this unique event.
Moore is currently leading the U18 team with 17 points through 22 games. Tuesday’s game in London will be an interesting one for Moore in particular as a U.S.-Canada dual citizen and a first-round draft pick of the London Knights, who are hosting the first game of the event. The 6-foot-2 forward is one of the top draft-eligible Americans for 2025 and is committed to Boston College.
Trethewey will lead USA’s D corps which will surely miss Amico, who was coming into his own this season as a physical defenseman. Trethewey is more of the quick puck-moving type, but his numbers have dipped a bit this season. The Boston University commit has four goals and eight points through 22 games. <SNIP> LINK
