
Red Deer’s quest to halt their eight-game slide hit another snag Saturday night at the Peavey Mart Centrium. A refreshed Rebels lineup couldn’t overcome the visiting Prince Albert Raiders, who themselves were looking to break a three-game losing streak. The Raiders emerged victorious with a decisive 3-0 shutout. Prince Albert jumped out to an early lead, scoring two goals in the first period, a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. Goaltender Max Hildebrand was stellar between the pipes, stopping all 17 shots he faced to earn the shutout.
Calgary native Aiden Oiring scored his 17th goal of the season to make it 1-0 on the Power Play at 1:26 of the first period. Thats Oiring’s 50th WHL goal in his career.
20 year old WHL Journeyman Rilen Kovacivec made it a 2-0 game at 10:14 of the first period with the assists on the goal going to 2023 WHL First overall pick Daxon Rudolph and 20 year old Ohio State Buckeye commit Niall Crocker.

Shots on goal in the first period were 14-5 for the Raiders
Justice Christensen scored his 12th goal of the season to give the Reaiders a 3-0 lead at 8:36 of the second period. The assists on the goal went to Daxon Rudolph and former Steinbach Piston Jackson Kostiuk.
Shots on goal in the second period were 13-8 for the Raiders.
Shots on goal in the third period were 9-4 for the Raiders with the Raiders outshooting the Rebels 36-17 in the game
For the Raiders Bemidji State commit 20 year old Max Hildebrand stopped all 17 shots that he faced for the win and the shutout. For the Rebels Chase Wutzke stopped 33 of the 36 shots that he faced.
