It was glow night in West Kelowna last night as the Bulldogs played their worst game of the new year getting shelled 6-1. The Warriors released lots of stuff about their Glow night online but no line up. Weird too as they are usually one of the teams that puts theirs out ridiculously early on game days too.

20 year old Swedish Import Elias Callgren opened up the scoring up for the Warriors with a shot from the high slot at 2:09 of the first period. The assist on the goal went to Quinnipiac commit Joey Macrina.a little over two minutes into the first period of play, as Joey Macrina fed a nice pass to Elias Callgren in the slot, who pumped a low shot through the five hole of Bulldogs netminder Kirill Kapustin to open the scoring for the Warriors

Bulldogs played a horrible first period of play. Worst probably since Christmas. They are very lucky it is only 1-0. Shots in the first period were 19-3 for the Warriors

Stillwater Lake, Nova Scotia native Sam LeDrew makes it a 2-0 game with a nice backhand goal at 2:09 of the second period. The assist on the goal going to 20 year old RPI commit Jackson Kyrkostas.Exactly 20 minutes later, the Warriors would double their lead, as Jackson Kyrkostas drew a defender to him in the corner, leaving Sam LeDrew all alone in front of the next to capitalize for his 20th of the campaign to make it 2-0 at 2:09 of the second.

The Warriors made it 3-0 on a deflection Kapustin couldn’t see a thing which was Elias Callgren getting his second goal of the game with the assist going to Simon Houge.About five minutes later, the Warriors would strike again, as Elias Callgren scored his second of the night, tipping in a Simon Houge point shot for his second of the game to make it 3-0. 

A goof up with the Bulldogs giving it right to the Warriors and they made it 4-0. Axel Lofgren got the puck handed right to him to tee up a one timer. A few minutes later, it would be West Kelowna’s other resident Swede to find the back of the net, as Axel Lofgren took advantage of a Blackfalds turnover and hammered a slapshot past Kapustin for his 10th of the season, and first since returning from an injury that sidelined him for six weeks.

Tyler Grahame scored on the rebound to make it 5-0 at 18:12 of the second period. The assist on the goal went to former Val d’or Foreurs 20 year old Nathan Drapeau.

Shots in the second period were 12-8 for the Warriors.

Warriors make it 6-0 while on a PP Tyler Grahame getting his second goal of the game with the assists going to Axel Lofgren and Sam LeDrew at 12:52 of the third period.

Luke Dahlen broke the shutout at 17:48 of the third period with a nice goal after receiving a pass from Joey Melo on the Power Play.

Shots on goal in the third period were 11-10 for the Bulldogs with the Warriors outshooting the Bulldogs 41-22 in the game.

Bor Glavic made 21 saves on the 22 shots that he faced for the win for the Warriors. For the Bulldogs Kirill Kapustin made 35 saves on the 41 shots that he faced.

Bulldogs next game is Family Day Monday February 17th against the Brooks Bandits at 4pm
