Its Free Hand Clapper night in Brooks. This is the last time this season the Bulldogs face the Bandits, which may be a relief as it has been a rough 3 games for the Bulldogs as they fell 9-2 Friday night to Brooks after running out of gas it appeared after the Bandits got their first goal in the second period. It seemed as if the players went to the punch out clock and punched out, were done for the night. Some are probably still sick who knows.

Brooks opened up the scoring at 9:55 of the first period when Ajax, Ontario native Jack Good got his 4th goal of the season with the assist on the goal going to Ethan Beyer. Davenport gave a facewash to Beyer after the goal and got a penalty for it, but Beyer mouthed off or roughed back and just went with him to the box.

Keith McInnis makes it 2-0 Brooks at 15:23 of the first period with the assists on the goal going to Mathis Dufour and Jack Good.

Nick DiPaolo scored on a 5 on 3 Power Play with the assists on the goal going to Noah Mertz and Alex Bosland. They went to review the goal, which appeared to be a break for the refs as it was obviously a goal. That cut the Bulldogs deficit to 1.

Shots on goal in the first period were 10-8 for the Bulldogs

Parker Lalonde made it a 3-1 game at 7:35 of the second frame. The assists on the goal went to Brantford, Ontario native Luke Bibby and former Bonnyville Pontiac Dante Siciliano. They went to review the goal but it was a goal. Sometimes I think the refs do it to just get a break, I really do.

Brooks scored to make it 4-1 when University of Denver commit Cooper Pierson snuck one barely by Kapustin. The assists on the goal went to A.J. Lacroix. That was the end of Kapustin’s night.

This is the worst call I have ever seen in sports history and I seen it from a mile away with bad eye sight and a tad of intoxication. The kid blew a tire it was so obvious and this is just one of many examples of crap calls you face everytime teams go to Brooks. Now the reffing had no deciding factor on the game the Bulldogs deserved to lose. But these calls must just make players not even want to play.

Brooks makes it 5-1 on that Power Play when Keith McInnis scored from Cooper Pierson at 14:28 of the second period.

Head contact hit by Brooks expect Patella to miss a few games if the league reviews that play there was no call.

Shots on goal in the second period were 18-6 for the Bandits

Brooks makes it 6-1 on the Power Play when Cooper Pierson got his second goal of the night just 44 seconds into the third period. The assists on the goal went Parker Lalonde and Keith McInnis.

Tyler Chiovetti scored his 7th goal of the season for the Bulldogs on the Power Play at 3:33 of the third period. The assist on the goal went to Oscar Bjork.

A deflection made it 7-2 for Brooks just a garbage goal to boot credit went to Jace Letourneau with the assists on the goal going to AJ Lacroix and Nate Yellowaga.

Then Brooks made it 8-2 shorthanded when Nathan Brown got his sixth of the season with the assist going to Ethan Beyer.

Brooks makes it 9-2 when Dante Siciliano scored at 18:14 with the assist on the goal going to Jack Good.

Shots on goal in the third period were 9-5 for Brooks. The Bandits outshot the Bulldogs 35-21 in the game.

For the Bandits former Oakville Blade Chris Quizi stopped 19 of the 21 shots that he faced for the win. For the Bulldogs Kirill Kapustin made 13 saves on the 17 shots he faced until being replaced by Lukas Fursten at 8:20 of the second period. Fursten then made 13 saves on the 17 shots that he faced. Still do not get the empty net goal thing in the stats, I am lost.

Three Stars of the game were 1) Keith McInnis 2) Cooper Pierson 3) Jack Good

Attendance in Brooks was 1417

Bulldogs next game is Saturday February 22nd against the Coquitlam Express.
