The West Kelowna Warriors dominated the Blackfalds Bulldogs last night, March 22, 2025, securing a decisive 7-2 victory in one of the final showdowns of the BCHL regular season. The Warriors jumped out to a commanding 4-0 lead in the first period and never looked back, outshooting the Bulldogs 28-14 by the second period’s end, with standout performances from players like Miller, Kyrkostas, and LeDrew. Despite a brief rally from the Bulldogs with goals by Dahlen and Melo, the Warriors sealed the deal in the third,
Northeastern commit Ben Miller made it 1-0 for the Warriors just 18 seconds into the contest with the assists on the goal going to Swede Axel Lofgren and former Wisconsin Windigo Tyler Grahame.
Warriors leading scorer Jackson Krykostas scores his 13th goal of the season to make it a 2-0 Warriors game at 15:13 of the first period with the assist on the goal going to Kelson Podworny.
Bentley commit Jack Farrell make it a 3-0 game at 16:19 of the first period with the helpers on the goal going to former Spruce Grove Saint Carter Oakenfold and New Hampshire commit Jack Sadowski.
5’0 something Joey Macrina made it a 4-0 game at 18:35 of the first period while on a joke of a Power Play on a body checking penalty. The assists on the goal went to Jackson Krykostas and Woodbury, Minnesota native Simon Houge.
Shots on goal in the first period were 16-4 for the Warriors.

Luke Dahlen got the Bulldogs on the board just 37 seconds into the second period with a Power Play goal. The assists on the goal to Joey Melo and Noah Mertz.

Joey Melo scored his 17th goal of the season to cut the lead to 4-2 at 6:21 of the second period with the assists on the goal going to Luke Norcross and Liam O’Keefe.
Sam LeDrew scored for the Warriors at 8:49 of the second period to make it a 5-2 Warriors game. The assists on the goal went to Axel Lofgren and Ian Alonso.
Axel Lofgren made it 6-2 at 9:19 of the second period with the assists on the goal going to Tyler Grahame and Logan Flint.
Shots on goal in the second period were 12-10 for the Warriors.

Shots on goal in the third period were 9-7 for the Warriors. The Warriors outshot the Bulldogs 37-21 in the game.
Bor Glavic made 19 saves on the 21 shots that he faced for the win for the Warriors. For the Bulldogs Kirill Kapustin made 16 saves on the 22 shots that he faced for the Bulldogs until being replaced by Lukas Fursten half way in the second. Fursten stopped 14 of the 15 shots that he faced.
