The Bulldogs defeated the Sherwood Park Crusaders 6-4 in their second pre season game of the season.
Hamilton, Ontario native Joseph Sinclair opened up the scoring for the Crusaders at 8:21 of the first period on the Power Play. The assists went to a couple of Russians in Mikhail Mishin and Dimitrii Nazarov. Both of those Russians are from the city of Yaroslavl and both played last season with the Ohio Blue Jackets U18s.
Shots on goal in the first period were 11-7 for the Crusaders

Harout Aroutyunyan from Glendale, California tied the game up at 10:31 of the second period ripping a shot from the right side. The helpers on the goal went to returning players Liam Hoff and Tyler Chiovetti. Aroutyunyan (whose name is going to take some getting use to) is only listed at 6’2 198. However on TV he looks like a 6’7 250 pound monster compared to everyone.
Quincy Supprin a 20 year old from Quebec who spent the past 2 seasons playing in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League in The Pas got the Crusaders back the lead just 13 seconds later at 10:44 of the second period with an unassisted goal. Have to hand it to him too that was a nice move he used to beat goalie Oliver Kirlay.

Kharkiv, Ukraine native 20 year old Nikita Ivanshenko tied the game back up at 11:41 of the second period with the assist on the goal going to Jared Langon. Ivanshenko spent last season with the Battleford North Stars of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League where he was teammates with former Bulldog Josh Knittig.
Colgate University commit Tommy Coccaro gets the Crusaders the lead at 17:15 of the second period. The assists on the goal went to Cooper Sharp and former Powell River King Eli Friedman

Antoine Gauthier ties the game up at 3 just 49 seconds into the third period. The assists on the goal went to Nikita Ivanshenko and Tyler Chiovetti.

Austin Borggaard gets the Bulldogs the go ahead goal at 5:29 of the third period while on the Power Play. The assist on the goal went to Antoine Gauthier.
20 year old Cooper Sharp who seems to have been in Junior Hockey forever tied the game up for the Crusaders at 5:40 of the third period with the helpers on the goal going to Russian Gleb Semenko and another Russian Mikhail Mishin. Semenko is Russian and I am assuming no relation to NHL legend Dave Semenko.

Tyler Chiovetti made it a 5-4 game to give the Bulldogs the lead at 11:11 of the third period while the Bulldogs were on the Power Play. The Crusaders took a costly too many men penalty. The assist on the goal went to Antoine Gauthier and Jared Langdon.
Harout Arutyunyan got his second goal of the night into the empty net at 19:13 of the third period to make it a 6-4 game. The assists on the goal went to Austin Borggaard and Jared Langdon.
