Bulldogs lost to the Freddy Mercury Captained Smoke Eaters Friday night by a score of 2-1.

Shots on goal in the first period were 11-8 for the Smoke Eaters

Trail got a beautiful goal to make it 1-0 at 9:25 of the second period when 20 year old Welland, Ontario native Dylan Lariviere got his sixth goal of the season. The assist on the goal went to Swedish Import Louis Jonerheim.

Trail did get a pretty bad penalty call in the second. Which was minor compared to all the delay of games they missed. A Smoke Eater sat at the puck in their crease looked at the ref and the ref just shrugged his shoulders earlier. So at least one crap call was deserved regardless.

Right as the penalty was about to expire St. Albert, Alberta native Cash Carter scored short handed to make it a 2-0 game for Trail at 17:58 of the second period. The assist on the goal went to Hopkins, Minnesota native Cade De St.Hebert.

Shots on goal in the second period were 11-7 for the Bulldogs.

Nicholas DiPaolo scored for the Bulldogs at 8:49 of the third period to get the Bulldogs within one. The assist on the goal went to Dean Toskos and Nikita Merscheryakov

Shots on goal in the third period were 5-4 for the Bulldogs. Shots on goal in the game were 24-22 for the Bulldogs.

Former Spokane Chiefs netminder Cooper Michaluk made 23 saves on the 24 shots thathe faced. For the Bulldogs Carson Mertz stopped 20 of the 22 shots that he faced.

Bulldogs next game is Saturday October 25th in Cranbrook against the Bucks

Antoine Cormier is not on the roster any longer. *Keiran Poulin has been added. He use to play with the Merritt Centennials a couple seasons ago.
