How can a team play so well one night and then play so horrible the next? One would almost think player were involved in organized gambling, ie throwing games like the Cleveland Indians did.🤔 Man that was bad, Sherwood Park played horrible also. The rink is full and the Bulldogs are on a winning streak and they don’t show up. Almost like having a time machine and going back to last season. Minus the goaltending on both sides it was a hard game to watch.

Shots on goal in a scoreless first period were 9-5 for the Crusaders

Crusaders captain Stevie Grumley scores his 10th goal of the season on the Power Play at 8:34 of the second period. With the assists on the goal going to Joseph Sinclair and Bode Sampair.

After Carson Mertz saved the game from being 2-0 the Bulldogs went down the ice and Joey Melo tied the game up at 17:30 of the second period. The helpers on the goal went to Krisjanis Sarts and Luke Dahlen.

Shots in the second period were 10-9 for the Bulldogs

Joseph Sinclair makes it a 2-1 game with the assist on the goal going to Mahtomedi, Minnesota native Bode Sampair and 20 year old St. Catharines, Ontario native Braeden O’Keefe at 1:16 of the third period.

Matthew Croxall gives the Bulldogs a push and a tad bit of hope when they woke up at 8:39 of the third period and made it a 5-2 game. The assists on the goal went to Joey Melo and Luke Dahlen.

Jared Landgon scored his 8th goal of the season at 16:47 of the third period. The helpers on the goal went to Dean Toskos and Alex Bosland.

Slovakian Filip Vavro stopped 27 of the 30 shots that he faced for the win for the Crusaders. Carson Mertz who played awesome and was treated like the goaltenders of last season with no help stopped 19 of the 24 shots that he faced. They took him out of the game with about 10 minutes left in the third and put Oliver Kiraly in who had to stop 2 shots.

Three Stars of the game 1) Joseph Sinclair 2) Joey Melo 3) Bode Sampair. Wondering why Vavro isn’t the first star🤔 Even with the score him and Mertz were the 2 best players in the game by a long shot.

Attendance in Blackfalds was 922

Bulldogs next game is Friday November 21st against the Spruce Grove Saints at home.
