Last night, on January 9, 2026, the Brooks Bandits hosted the Blackfalds Bulldogs in a BCHL regular season matchup at the Centennial Regional Arena. The Bandits came out on top with a 5-3 victory over the visiting Bulldogs. The game marked the Bulldogs’ road trip to Brooks as they aimed for a third straight win, but the home team secured the two points in what was an interdivisional Interior East contest,

Bulldogs score just 9 seconds into their first Power Play of the game at 12:46 of the first period when Joey Melo scored his 11th goal of the season. The assists on the goal went to Thomas Neu and Brendan GIles.

Red Bank, New Jersey native Luke Melnik makes it 3-1 for the Bandits at 4:14 of the second period with the assists on the goal going to Jack Good and Slovakian Michal Marsalek.
Harry Ahlberg scores his second goal of the game to make it 4-1 at 16:49 of the second period while shorthanded. He capitalized on a massive Bulldogs error and Mathis Dufor found Ahlberg and sent him in all alone.

Jared Langdon got the Bulldogs within 2 at 3:38 of the third period. The assists on the goal went to Duncan Thompson and Danny Hussa.
Bulldogs pulled their goalie with 3 minutes remaining and of course eventually the Bandits fired it down and scored. The goal was scored by Francois De Villiers unassisted.

Danny Hussa scored on a short handed with 1:30 left in the game unassisted but it was just too late.
Shots on goal in the third period were 14-10 for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs despite falling asleep the whole second period still outshot the Bandits in the game 29-27.
