The Blackfalds Bulldogs dropped their second game of the weekend road trip, falling to the Cranbrook Bucks in a tough one. It looked like the Bulldogs had the win locked up until a brutal collapse in the later stages cost them dearly. Hoping they shake it off quickly— they’ve got a huge weekend ahead facing Sherwood Park and Brooks, and a strong bounce-back performance will be key!

Thomas Neu made it a 1-0 game for the Bulldogs at 17:38 of the first period. The assists on the goal went to Nicholas DiPaolo.

Brendan Giles gives the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead just 18 seconds into the second period. The assists on the goal went to Danny Hussa and Noah Mertz.

Shots on goal in the second period were 9-7 for the Bulldogs

Yaphank, New York native Nicholas Paragine got the Bucks on the board at 14:09 of the third period with the helper on the goal going to former Alberni Valley Bulldog Matty MacDonald.

A love tap from a stick to a child actor cost this game for the Bulldogs. What a pathetic embarrassing way to end a game. I would be so embarrassed as a Buck I would forfeit the game. So pathetic. This is the reason the kids are regarded as wimps now. That kid should of got a penalty for embellishment. Probably learned it playing in Olds 🤔

Former Olds Grizzly Mitch Patrick who is magically fine now after the love tap ties the game up for the Bucks while on the Power Play at 16:46 of the third period. The assist on the goal went to Jack McMinn.

Austrian Native Konstantin Hutzinger scores the winning goal for the Bucks that the ref donated to him at 18:14 of the third period while on the Power Play. The assists went to Camden Charron and Adam Csabi.

Nikolaj Rupi fell on his skates racing for the puck so the refs gave his a goal out of good will. The assist on the goal went to Leyton Stewart.

Shots on goal in the third period were 16-7 for the Bucks. The Bucks ended up outshooting the Bulldogs 32-26.

Alma, Quebec native Jason Tremblay made 23 saves on the 25 shots that he faced for the win for the Bucks. For the Bulldogs Oliver Kiraly made 28 saves on the 31 shots that he faced.
