The Spokane Chiefs handed the Red Deer Rebels a 3-0 defeat on Saturday night, as the Rebels’ hopes of securing a win on their U.S. road trip were dashed. Despite putting up a valiant effort and outshooting their opponents 35-27, the Rebels were unable to find a way past Dawson Cowan, who made an impressive 35 saves in the Spokane net. They didn’t win a single game on the whole road trip. 2 years ago when they played in Spokane they won 1-0 in a shootout. So basically a regulation goal has not been scored by the Red Deer Rebels in Spokane in over 4 years.

Calgary native and 20 year old WHL super vet Shae Van Olm made it a 2-0 game at 7:45 of the third period. The assists on the goal went to 16 year old Cochrane, Alberta native Rhett Sather and Berkly Catton.
