Rebels keep getting shutout at these teddy bear toss games in other arenas. The Red Deer Rebels faced an uphill battle Saturday night in Swift Current, where the final score was a testament to their challenges. After playing four games in just five nights, and missing five key veterans by the game’s end, the Rebels were shut out 3-0 at the InnovationPlex, concluding their eastern tour with a 2-2 record.

Saskatoon native Connor Gabriel sent the Teddy Bears Flying in Swift at 2:29 of the first period with the assists on the goal going to Caleb Potter and Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan native Dawson Gerwing.

Seattle Kraken 2024 5th Rounder Clarke Caswell made it a 2-0 Broncos game at 13:15 of the first period. The assists went to Steinbach, Manitoba native Luke Mistlebacher and former Prince George Cougar and 20 year old Carlin Dezainde.

Shots in the first period were 18-11 for the Broncos

Dawson Gerwing made it a 3-0 game at 11:12 of the second period unassisted.

Shots in the second period were 14-12 for the Broncos.

Shots in the third period were 13-7 for the Broncos. The Broncos outshot the Rebels 45-30 in the game.

20 year old Winkler, Manitoba native Reid Dyck made all 30 saves he was faced with for the win and the shutout for the Broncos. For the Rebels Chase Wutzke made 42 saves on the 45 shots that he faced.
