Last night, the Blackfalds Bulldogs straight-up crushed the Cranbrook Bucks 6-0 on the road at Western Financial Place, handing out a shutout beatdown that had every fan back home pumping their fists. The Bulldogs came out swinging from puck drop, lighting the lamp in the second and never letting up—four goals by the second intermission, then two more to bury ’em deep. The Bucks couldn’t muster a damn thing against their D and netminder, who stonewalled every weak shot they threw.
Tech difficulties for Bulldogs side to start even on the bucks end on flotv. I had to mute the guy speaking for Cranbrook he was horrible. Couldn’t pronounce things thought he was funny, it was awful. Blackfelds, I hope the Bulldogs fix their feed that was the worst announcing in anything ever. And you can hear on the replays its the Blackfalds feed but we never seen that last night on Flo. The announcer we had to hear was bad, Anyway on to the game.
Some confusing penalties being called both ways

Jared Langdon made it a 1-0 game for the Bulldogs while short handed at 15:34 of the first period. The assists on the goal went to Gabriel Smith and goaltender Oliver Kiraly. Nice to see them get that one after allowing a short handed goal last night.

Thomas “Noi” Gives the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead (I heard the loud speaker in Cranbrook say it and on TV call him Noi too 🤣,wait has everyone been saying it wrong the whole time here 🤔🤔) at 19:40 of the second period. The assists went to Nikita Ivashchenko and Nikita Mescheryakov.
Shots on goal in the second period were 10-6 for the Bucks
Amazing save by Rafah on the Bucks stoning Dahlen. Rafah played awesome this game. I felt bad for him, a little.

Luke Dahlen scored to make it a 3-0 game at 8:38 of the third period. The assist on the goal went to Joey Melo.

Matthew Croxall made it 4-0 on a beautiful tic tac toe passing goal with the assists going to Nikita Ivaschenko and Thomas Neu at 9:51 of the third period. If you really want to get technically Krisjanis Sarts could get the third assist on that one. Super nice goal and nothing at all poor Rafah could do.

Joey Melo makes it 5-0 at 11:17 of the third period with the assists on the goal going to Luke Dahlen and Danny Hussa.

Brady Whitehead made it 6-0 at 12:49 of the third period with the assist on the goal going to Asher Lucas. That is the first BCHL point for both.
Shots on goal in the third period were 17-11 for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs outshot the Bucks 36-27 in the game.
Oliver Kiraly stopped all 27 shots that he faced for the shutout win, which is his second shutout of the season. For the Bucks Slovakian Richard Rafaj stopped 30 of the 35 shots that he faced in a game where he got absolutely no help from his team.
Three Stars of the game were 1) Oliver Kiraly 2) Luke Dahlen 3) Joey Melo
Attendance in Cranbrook was 1357
Bulldogs next game is on Halloween Friday October 31st in Blackfalds against the Spruce Grove Saints

Antoine Cormier appears to now be playing for the Nanaimo Clippers. He scored a goal last night in the Clippers win.
