Bulldogs beat the Spruce Grove Saints 2-0 Halloween night handing the Saint’s their first shutout of the season. And judging by how the Saints cried, whined, and played all game last night probably not their last. Bulldog players just skated by Saints players and said words and the Saints players lost their minds. I really am curious as what is being said to make a few players on the Saints so mad they attack. Is it something embarrassing personally? Either way pretty funny stuff to see.
Shots on goal in a scoreless first period were tied at 5 each.
Nikita Ivashchenko got the Bulldogs on the board at 11:01 of the second period while the Bulldogs were on a 2 man Power Play advantage. The assists on the goal went to Noah Mertz and Joey Melo
Shots on goal in the second period were 10-6 for the Bulldogs.
Nikita Meshcheryakov pots one into the empty net at 18:22 of the third period unassisted to seal the game at 2-0.
Shots on goal in the third period were tied at only 5 apiece. With the Bulldogs outshoting the Saints in the game 20-16.
Oliver Kiraly stopped all 16 shots that he faced for the win and the shutout. That is his second shutout in a row. For the Saints Ryan De Kok made 18 saves on the 19 shots that he faced.

Attendance in Blackfalds on Halloween night while the Blue Jays were playing in Game 6 of the World Series was 283 which was really more than most would of thought. All be it most of them were leaning over watching the Jays game anyway in the lobby.
Bulldogs next game is Saturday November 1st in Okotoks. It will be playing while the Jays are playing in Game 7 of the World Series. Not many will be tuned in.
The Bulldogs acquired forward Rohan Guevarra from the Selkirk Steelers on the MJHL. He looked really good in his first game too. Goalie Brady Smith has been traded to the Trail Smoke Eaters for future considerations, which I guess one of the goalies had to go eventually. Not many teams almost ever have had the luxury of having 3 clear cut #1 starting goalies. No source or news on the trades as the team here never announces shit.
