The Prince Albert Raiders came into Red Deer Rebels on Friday night and won 6-2 at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Polish Import Krzysztof Macias tallied his first career hat trick, while Niall Crocker had a four assist night, kid always gets points against Red Deer. He did last year too, he gets an average amount during the year then he plays the Rebels and its like he is shopping at Bulk Barn. Max Hildebrand stopped 33 of 35 shots for his second win of the season. Carson Latimer scored both goals for the Rebels.

Raiders open up the scoring at 2:45 of the first period when Polish import Krzysztof Macias scores to make it a 1-0 game. The assists on the goal to Delta native Niall Crocker and Red Deer native Justice Christensen. About 2 minutes later at 4:37 of the first period the Raiders make it 2-0 when Aiden Oiring scored his second goal of the season with the assists going to Justice Christensen and Niall Crocker.

At 7:10 of the first period the Rebels finally get on the board when Carson Latimer scored on the Power Play from Mats Lindgren and Kalan Lind to cut the Raiders lead to 2-1. The Rebels outshot the Raiders 15-9 in the first period.

Krzysztof Maciaz scored his second goal of the game at 4:13 on the Power Play of the second period to make it a 3-1 game. I would like to point out that the Polish kids name is pronounced “Matches”. Assist on the goal went to fellow European 17 year old Czech import Matej Kubiesa.

Krzysztof Maciaz gets his hat trick 9:46 second with assists going to 16 year old Winnipeg native Oli Chenier and Niall Crocker. It’s still early but, Maciaz has a point a game since joining the Raiders this season. He played the last few seasons in various leagues in Czechia. He was the 15th overall pick in the 2023 CHL Import Draft. That was the end of Rebels goalie Chase Wutzke’s night. In comes Rhett Stoesser. Maciaz scored the goal on a delayed penalty call too🙄 Maciaz may just be the best Polish hockey player ever so move over Oliwa.😲

Ryder Ritchie makes it 5-1 when he scores at 12:38 on the Power Play. The goal was assisted by Niall Crocker and Sloan Standick. Ryder Ritchie is currently ranked #21st for the 2024 NHL entry draft at Mynhldraft.com.

Ryder Richie scores again and makes it 6-1 at 18:00 of the second period. With the assist going to Regina native Eric Johnston. The Raiders outshot the Rebels 10-9 in the second period.

In the third period Carson Latimer made the game look a little less embarrassing. Not by much but it helped. Latimer notched his second goal of the game and 4th of the season at 13:25 of the third period on the Power Play. Assists on the goal to Talon Brigley and Mats Lindgren. The Rebels outshot the Raiders in the third period 11-7. Throughout the whole game the Rebels outshot the Raiders 35-26. The Raiders seemed to take more “quality” shots in the game. You know shots that are meant to go in the net not just hit the goalie.

Martinsville, Saskatchewan native Max Hildebrand made 33 saves on the 35 shots that he faced for the win. Chase Wutzke stopped 9 of the 13 shots that he faced and Rhett Stoesser stopped 11 of the 13 shots he faced.

Attendance in Red Deer was 3,619
