The World Junior A Hockey Challenge is making a highly anticipated return to Nova Scotia, marking its first appearance in the region since 2017. Hosted by the City of Truro and Municipality of Colchester, the event is set to take place at the 3,100-seat Rath Eastlink Community Centre from Dec. 10-17.

Organized through a collaborative effort between Hockey Canada, the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL), Hockey Nova Scotia, NHL Central Scouting, and the local organizing committee, the 2023 World Junior A Hockey Challenge features a five-team lineup: Team Canada East, Team Canada West, Slovakia, Sweden, and the United States.

The tournament’s opening night will showcase Team Canada West against Sweden at 3:30 p.m. AT, while Team Canada East will go head-to-head with Slovakia. The top four teams will progress to the medal round, with the medal games scheduled for Dec. 17 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. AT, respectively.

TSN and RDS, the official broadcasters of Hockey Canada, will be airing the medal games. Additionally, preliminary-round matches and semifinals will be available for livestream on HockeyCanada.ca.
