The Red Deer Rebels experienced a difficult game against the Prince Albert Raiders, resulting in a 5-1 loss. In other words they played horrible.
Sloan Stanick scores his 28th goal of the season just 28 seconds into the game to make it 1-0 Raiders with the assists on the goal going to Calgary native Aiden Oiring.– Stanick scored his fourth goal in two games, giving the Raiders a 1-0 lead just 40 seconds into the game. From the left circle, Aiden Oiring dropped a pass to the slot for Stanick, who fired a one timer glove side past Rhett Stoesser.
Doogan Pederson who is the son of former NHLer Denis Pederson scored his second goal of the season at 11:10 of the first period. The assists on the goal went to Niall Crocker and Jacob Hoffrogge.–With 8:50 left in the first, Doogan Pederson doubled the lead for Prince Albert. After his first shot was blocked, the rookie defenceman located his own rebound, and fired a rocket on goal. His slapshot beat Stoesser high over the glove, giving the Raiders a 2-0 lead. Pederson collected his second goal of the season, with Crocker and Jacob Hoffrogge collecting assists.

Brayden Dube scored his 14th goal of the season to make it a 3-0 Raiders game at 9:17 of the second period unassisted.–Brayden Dube gave the Raiders a 3-0 lead with 10:43 left in the second period, scoring right after a faceoff in the Red Deer zone. A Rebels defenceman tried to clear the puck from the corner, but it hit Dube in the slot. The Raider forward knocked it down to his stick and sniped a shot glove side past Stoesser, scoring his 14th goal of the season to give the home side a three goal advantage.
Shots in the second period were 16-10 for the Rebels.
Aiden Oiring made it a 4-0 game on the Power Play just 21 seconds into the third period. The assists on the goal went to Niall Crocker and Sloan Stanick.–After the Rebels took a penalty at the end of the second period, the Raiders wasted little time capitalizing, scoring 21 seconds into the third frame. A pretty display of passing saw Niall Crocker eventually feed Oiring in the slot. After all the puck movement in the offensive zone, Stoesser over committed to the centering pass, sliding too far to his left. That left Oiring with tons of net to shoot at, and he found the back of it for his 16th goal of the season to give Prince Albert a 4-0 lead.
Frantisek Formanek scored his 19th goal of the season to get the Rebels on the board at 15:01 of the third period. The assists on the goal went to Kai Uchacz and Jhett Larson.-In a dramatic turn of events, the Rebels dashed Max Hildebrand’s hopes for a shutout with just under five minutes remaining in the third period. Frantisek Formanek seized the opportunity amidst a flurry of action in front of the net, netting Red Deer’s inaugural goal of the match. With impeccable timing, Formanek notched his 19th goal of the season, narrowing the score to 4-1. Despite this lone setback, Hildebrand’s performance between the posts was nothing short of exceptional, concluding the game with an impressive 26 saves to his credit.
Niall Crocker made it a 5-1 game for the Raiders at 16:11 of the third period while on the Power Play. The assists on the goal went to Red Deer native Justice Christensen and Sloan Stanick.-Prince Albert restored their four goal lead on a powerplay with 3:49 left in regulation, as Niall Crocker scored to nab his third point on the night. A point shot from Justice Christensen was tipped right in front of the net by Crocker, who picked up his 20th goal of the season to make it a 5-1 game.
Shots on goal in the third period were 10-9 for the Raiders. The Raiders outshot the Rebels in the game 35-27.
Max Hildebrand made 26 saves on the 27 shots that he faced for the win. Rhett Stoesser made 30 saves on the 35 shots that he faced for the Rebels.
