Samuel Drancak’s overtime goal secured a 4-3 victory for the Red Deer Rebels over the Medicine Hat Tigers in game 3 of their first-round WHL playoff series. The Rebels now lead the best-of-seven series 2-1, with game four taking place in Red Deer Wednesday night.

Oasiz Wiesblatt scored to make it 2-1 Tigers on an unassisted goal. –Wiesblatt was the one who scored the third goal for the Tigers, making the score 2-1 in their favor. This happened at the 6:12 mark of the second period. He managed to maneuver in the Red Deer zone, skillfully cutting in from the right side and swiftly shooting the puck between the legs of Chase Wutzke.
Carson Latimer got his second goal of the game on the Power Play at 6:59 of the second period with the assists going to Kalan Lind and Hunter Mayo.-Latimer connected on the power play at 6:59 of the middle stanza, taking a pass from behind the net from Kalan Lind and snapping a shot low to the stick side on Zahara.
Hunter Mayo gives the Rebels the lead at 15:10 of the second period with the assist going to Mats Lindgren.–Hunter Mayo gave the Rebels a 3-2 lead at 15:10 when his screened shot from the right point deflected in off Zahara’s blocker.

Andrew Basha ties the game up (through a screen) with Zahara on the bench and the extra attacker out with just 35 seconds left in the game. The assists on the goal went to Gavin McKenna and Rhett Parsons. Andrew Basha had 9 shots in the game.–with Zahara on the bench, Andrew Basha moved the puck into the slot and beat Wutzke just under the bar on the glove side with 34.6 seconds remaining.

Oasiz Wiesblatt got a penalty for hooking. He really had no choice. he had to take the penalty or they would of lost the game there.
