The Oilers tied the game up at 12:48 of the first period when former Whitecourt Wolverine Spencer Rheaume scored his 7th goal of the season with the assist going to Hunter Sawka.
Liam O’Keefe makes it 2-1 getting his first BCHL goal at 6:24 of the first period with the assists going to Joey Melo and Lucas McDonald. The BCHL site said Melo scored it I don’t know I could of sworn it was O’Keefe.
Kade Duell ties it up for the Oilers at 18:57 of the first period with the assists on the goal going to Huntington, New York native Luke Calabria and Texan Nathan Tobey.

Jackson Rowland scores a garbage goal somehow to give the Oilers the lead at 1:21 of the third period with the assists on the goal going to Hunter Sawka and Brock Souch.
Please explain to me how a penalty is called then a goal is scored by the team that got the penalty and the goal counts but they still go to the box. I am lost on the Kowalski goal why would they give a penalty that occured before the goal but still allow the goal. There must be a reason and I would am curious as to what it is? that made the game 4-2 at 15:43 of the third period. That along with the empty net goal made it 5-2.
Shots on goal in the third period were 10-6 for the Oiler with the the Oilers outshooting the Bulldogs 28-26 in the game.
For the Oilers Olivier Ciarlo made 24 saves on the 26 shots that he faced for the win for the Oilers. For the Bulldogs playing well in his debut Slovakian Lukas Fursten made 23 saves on the 27 shots that he faced.
