Blackfalds Bulldogs defeated the Okotoks Oilers 5-3 in Okotoks Friday night.

Thomas Neu makes it a 1-0 game after a brutal give away by the Oilers. It almost looked like the Oilers D man had it perfectly crafted out when he was behind the net but seen Neu wide open and couldn’t miss the opportunity to make such a great pass.
Shots on goal in the first period were 12-10 for the Oilers

Antoine Gauthier makes it a 2-0 game at 6:25 of the second frame with the assists on the goal going to Danny Hussa and Noah Mertz.

Jared Langdon makes it 3-0 when he gets his 6th goal of the season at 9:52 of the second period with the assists on the goal going to Antoine Gauthier and Alex Bosland.
A goof up caused a breakaway and the Oilers got themselves on the board the announcers said it was Brock Souch but I think it may of been Myles Gauld. Either way it was a 3-1 game. The assist on the goal went to Jackson Rowland at 17:01 of the first period.

Gates Omicioli and Cyle Clayton got into a fight at the end of the second period. I was under the impression that in the BCHL you could fight twice in a game. I assumed they would get a 5 then be back in the game. They kicked them both out. Its things like this that ruin the game. I would like to know the name of who makes the final decision on things like this. We all should know. They should never be allowed to be near hockey EVER. Just ridiculous. It was a dance really and it helped the Oilers as the Bulldogs lost one of their top players. So good deal for the Oilers.
Shots on goal in the second period were 11-10 for the Oilers.
Teo Pisani scores on the Power Play at 4:34 of the third period to get the Oilers back by one on a 3 on 1 after the Bulldogs got caught in the other end after a failed 2 on 1. The assists on the goal went to Jackson Rowland and Kade Duell.

Luke Norcross scored for the Bulldogs to make it 4-2 at 6:32 of the third period. Thats his first junior goal. The assists on the goal went to Joey Melo and Luke Dahlen. Norcross keeps looking better and better every game. Did the Bulldogs ever fleece the Crusaders in that trade.
Brett Wilson got the Oilers within one at 16:02 of the third period with the assists going to former Drumheller Dragon Coy Pighin and Kade Duell.
Oilers pulled the goalie with 1:47 left in the third period and right off the draw Austin Borggaard scored and for once its not the Bulldogs pulling their goalie way too early to see that result. The goal was unassisted.
Shots on goal in the third period were 19-6 for the Oilers with the Oilers outshooting the Bulldogs 42-26.
Lukas Fursten was stellar in net making 39 saves on the 42 shots that he faced for the win for the Bulldogs. For the Oilers 20 year old former Baie-Comeau Drakkar tender Olivier Ciarlo made 21 saves on the 25 shots that he faced.
Three Stars of the game were 1) Lukas Fursten 2) Antoine Gauthier 3) Teo Pisani
Attendance in Okotoks was 1148
Bulldogs next game is Saturday February 1st in Blackfalds against the Okotoks Oilers again at 6pm
