It looks like it is going to be a long season for the Lethbridge Hurricanes. πŸ™„ The Rebels looked great tonight no question about it. Were they good because they are actually playing good or because they played a Lethbridge Team that played absolutely horrible? The Rebels came out strong from the opening shift and controlled things from start to finish in a 5-0 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena. Red Deer snapped its four-game losing streak and handed Lethbridge it’s fifth-straight home loss.

Samuel Drancak makes it a 1-0 game for the Rebels at 9:59 of the first period. The assist on the goal went to the captain Talon Brigley.The Rebels pressed early and jumped opened the scoring at the 9:59 mark when Samuel Drancak banged home a loose puck at the side of the net slipping a puck through the legs of Leif Oaten to make it 1-0; Talon Brigley earned the lone assist on the goal

Shots on goal in the first period were 11-4 for the Rebels

Anchorage, Alaska native Landon MacSwain gave the Rebels a 2-0 lead at 10:40 of the second period when he got his first WHL goal. The assist on the goal went to Beckett Hamilton.Red Deer doubled their lead at the 10:40 mark when Landon MacSwain wired home his first ever goal in the WHL to five the Rebels a 2-0 lead; Beckett Hamilton picked up the assist on the goal. 

Shots on goal in the second period were 13-8 for the Rebels

Talon Brigley makes it 3-0 for the Rebels at 7:43 of the third period with the assist on the goal going to Jaxon Fuder.Red Deer added to their lead at the 7:43 mark when Brigley buried his third goal of the season with a shot from the right-wing to make it 3-0 Rebels

Arjun Bawa then makes it 4-0 when he catches the Hurricanes on a line change at 11:07 of the third period. The assists on the goal went to Noah Milford and Keith McInnis.Arjun Bawa found the net for his first of the season – Noah Milford and Keith McInnis were credited with the assists.

Noah Milford tips to make it a 5-0 game off a Matus Lisy shot at 17:38 of the third period while on the Power Play. The other assist on the goal went to Landon MacSwain.-Milford scored his second of the season on a power play redirecting a Matus Lisy point shot by Oaten to make it a 5-0 final.

Shots on goal in the third period was 12-7 for the Rebels. The Rebels outshot the Hurricanes 36-19

Chase Wutzke stopped all 19 shots that he faced for the shutout win for the Rebels. For the Hurricanes Leif Oaten made 31 saves on the 36 shots that he faced.
