Former Red Deer Rebel from years past Arjun Bawa opens up the scoring for Team White to make it a 1-0 game at 6:21 of the first period- Team White grabbed a 1-0 lead at 6:21 of the first period on a goal by Arjun Bawa, beating veteran goaltender Peyton Shore with a perfect wrist shot right to his glove side.
Veteran and possible future Rebel captain Talon Brigley then scored for Team Black to tie up the game at 18:33 of the first period. -Talon Brigley tied it at 18:33 banking in a shot off netminder Matthew Kondro after the rookie stopped his first shot.
Cold Lake, Alberta native and veteran Jaxon Fuder made it a 2-1 game for Team White with only 36 seconds remaining in the first period.–But Jaxon Fuder put the White squad ahead shortly after, connecting from the low slot at 19:24.
Zane Torre a 17 year old rookie who played for Shattuck St. Mary’s last season tied it up for Team Black at 1:05 of the second period.–Black tied it at 1:05 of the second period as rookie Zane Torre from Ladera Ranch, CA, beat Kondro during a scramble.
Rebels first preseason game is Friday September 5th against the Calgary Hitmen in Calgary followed up by a game in Red Deer against the Hitmen again.
