Luke Dahlen put the Bulldogs on the scoreboard first at 13:35 of the first period with his 5th goal of the season. With the assists on the goal to Carter Cormier and Ryan Shaw.

Tanner Willick scores a nice goal while the teams are 4 on 4 to make it 2-0 1:37 into the second frame. With the assists on the goal to Layne Loomer and Brendan Ross.

Matthew Strilets put the Storm on the board and made it a 2-1 game at 2:32 of the middle period with the assist going to Colin Doherty. They came down in all alone on a 2 on 0 Maxfield had no chance what so ever.

Jayden Joly made the game 3-1 when he scored at 8:33 of the second period with the assists on the goal going to Alexander Dimitriadis and Otto Hanson.

Thunder Bay native Alex Atwill made the game 3-2 when he scored at 10:47 of the second period with the assists on the goal going to Ferris State commit Matt Corbet and Ben Simpson.

Alex Dimitriatis made it a 4-2 game when he scored his 15th goal of the season at 18:54 of the second period. With the assists on the goal goin to Carter Patterson and Tanner Willick.

Shots in the second period were tied again with 13 each.

Ryan Shaw scored his 8th goal of the season firing in a rebound to make it a 5-2 game at 7:08 of the third period. With the assists to Carter Cormier and Luke Dahlen. This line of Shaw-Cormier-Dahlen has been playing great the last couple of games.

Carter Cormier scored on a rebound to make it 6-2 for the Bulldogs on the Power Play at the 11 minute mark of the final period. With the assists on the goal to Brendan Ross and Tanner Willick.

Josh Sale makes it a 7-2 Bulldogs game at 12:29 of the third period with the assists on the goal going to Josh Knittig and Kody Willick.

Peter Copetti was awarded a penalty shot because he didn’t keep his feet moving and Carter Cormier defended properly against him and Maxfield stopped the puck. He scored on the penalty shot. 7-3.

Shots in the third period were 12-9 Bulldogs with the Bulldogs outshooting the Storm in the game 33-30.

Only 4 minutes left so unknown if there will be a suspension. It should be like Blades of Steel. You get 2 minutes if you lose and thats it.

Wilson Maxfield made 27 saves on the 30 shots he faced for the win for the Bulldogs while former Brandon Wheat King goalie Nicholas Jones made 26 saves on the 33 shots he faced for the Storm.

Bulldogs next games is Tuesday January 9th against the Bonnyville Pontiacs in Blackfalds.

Rumors keep swirling around the arena about Dakota MacIntosh coming back from Moose Jaw. Moose Jaw just acquired Matt Savoie in a trade with Wenatchee. Again just rumors no solid proof or a good source. By Tuesday at least there should be some word on if anything has been done by the January 10th trade deadline.
