31- New York Rangers- Tij Iginla- LW- Kelowna (WHL)
6’0 181 Lake Country, BC August 1st, 2006

Tij Iginla has been a prolific scorer, consistently maintaining a goal-per-game pace throughout the season. Despite a recent struggle with consistency, Iginla’s scoring ability is undeniable, reminiscent of his impressive 48-game run with the WHL champions in Seattle last year. His shot is particularly challenging for opponents to handle when he’s in top form.
Beyond his scoring abilities, Iginla showcases flair, defensive reliability, and a penchant for delivering impactful hits. His style of play involves getting underneath opponents to dislodge pucks and utilizing powerful strides to navigate to the net front. Notably, he possesses the skill to beat goalies from a distance.
Interestingly, Iginla’s hockey lineage adds intrigue to his profile, as his father had a notable career in the NHL. This family connection may contribute to heightened draft expectations for Tij, potentially overshadowing his actual skill level. Despite the possibility of his name playing a role in draft position, Iginla’s on-ice abilities and scoring remain key assets.
32- Vegas Golden Knights- Terik Parascak- RW- Prince George (WHL)
5’11 174 Lethbridge, AB May 28th, 2006

Terik Parascak, a 17-year-old winger for the Prince George Cougars, has made an impressive start to the season, scoring 15 goals in 12 games. Leading all WHL rookies with 25 points, he has also recorded two shorthanded goals, placing him among seven players with this achievement. Currently listed as a “B” prospect, Parascak has the potential to climb the draft boards significantly if he maintains this level of production throughout the season. Despite his unexpected success, he spent the previous season in Canada’s high school prep circuit before a brief stint with the Cougars where he went pointless in four games. While it’s unlikely that he will sustain his current production, Parascak’s strong performance has positively impacted his draft stock. Although he is not the fastest skater and possesses only moderate puck skills, his notable hockey sense and competitive spirit are standout qualities.
