16 year old North Vancouver, B.C native Carson Wetsch opened up the scoring for the Hitmen when he buried a pass from Carter Yakemchuk at 13:42 of the first period to make it a 1-0 game. The second assist on the goal went to Oliver Tulk.
That lead was short lived when Matteo Fabrizi lobbed the puck on screened and or day dreaming Brayden Peters and made it a 1-1 game. Thats Fabrizi’s first of the playoffs from Nicholas Andrusiak and Carson Birnie at 16:07.
Kai Uchacz got his second of the playoffs just 49 seconds later assisted by Kalan Lind and Hunter Mayo. That now gives the Rebels a 2-1 lead.
Then just 45 seconds into the second period Frantisek Formanek scored to make it a 3-1 game. Assists to Kai Uchacz and Christoffer Sedoff. The Hitmen managed to score 3 minutes later while on the powerplay when Carter MacAdams scored his first of the post season from Ethan Moore and Tyson Galloway at 3:56.
Kai Uchacz added an empty net goal to insure the win at 4-2 and give the Rebels a 2-1 series lead over the Hitmen.

Rebels Next game Wednesday April 5th in Calgary
Attendance at the Scotiabank Saddledome was 2,968 . Which is pathetically low for the Calgary Hitmen and even more pathetic since its the playoffs. What happened? Calgary use to be known to have one of the better attendances in the whole CHL.
