The Red Deer Rebels played a flawless road game, securing a 3-1 WHL victory against the Medicine Hat Tigers. Jumping to a 2-0 lead, the Rebels dominated defensively, praised by coach Derrick Walser. Kalan Lind and Ollie Josephson netted goals, while Gavin McKenna broke through for the Tigers on their fifth power play. Rebels’ captain Kai Uchacz sealed the win with an empty-net goal. Despite penalty challenges, the team’s solid defense and teamwork prevailed. With a six-game winning streak, the Rebels are proving resilient and focused. Missing key players, they face the Prince Albert Raiders next.

Kai Uchacz fires one into the empty net to secure the win with 1:14 remaining in the game. With the assist going to Hunter Mayo.–Rebels captain Kai Uchacz sealed the deal with an empty net goal with 74 seconds remaining.
Shots in the third period were 10-6 for the Tigers. Medicine Hat outshot the Rebels 31-24 in the game.
Chase Wutzke stopped 30 of the 31 shots that he faced for the win for the Rebels. While ar old Brandon, Manitoba native Ethan McCallum stopped 21 of the 23 shots that he faced for the Tigers.

Attendance at Coop Place in a wide empty field miles from Medicine Hat was 3,042. Still doesn’t have the same ring as the 4,006 that use to attend every single game for sell outs down at the old Medicine Hat Arena when the team played in Medicine Hat.
