After watching this I wish they would of just done it the same way they did the prospects game last year. The CHL looks like they are dicking around in a rec league game and being very nice.

Moose Jaw Warriors Lynden Lakovic opened up the scoring for Team CHL on a break away at 5:44 of the first period. The assist on the goal went to fellow WHLer Ben Kindel of the Calgary Hitmen. Moose Jaw isn’t exactly having the success that they seen last season. Its rebuilding time. Wonder if Lakovic could be available at Christmas or the deadline. Because it is almost certain that his team mate Brayden Yager will be traded to a contender after the world juniors. I would guess Tri City, Saskatoon, Swift Current, or Calgary.

Shots on goal in the first period were 12-7 for team CHL.

Vancouver Giant’s Cameron Schmidt made it 2-0 just 38 seconds into the second frame with the assists on the goal going to Matthew Schaefer and 2024 Memorial Cup Champion Michael Misa.

Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds Brady Martin tapped in an easy goal when USA goalie Quinlan misread the play at 3:57 of the second period to make it a 3-0 Team CHL game. The assist on the goal went to Lynden Lakovic.

Erie Otters Matthew Schaefer went coast to coast to make it a 4-0 game at 5:31 of the second period on the Power Play. The assist went to the goalie Prince George Cougars Joshua Ravensbergen. As much as I liked watching Martone and Hagens. Schaefer in my mind should be the 1st overall selection in 2025.

Shots on goal in the second period were 9 to 3 for Team CHL

Malcolm Spence from the Erie Otters makes it 5-0 on the Power Play at 6:47 of the third period with the assists on the goal going to Michael Misa and Cameron Schmidt. I do not see why Schmidt isn’t on Bob McKenzie’s top 20. He is easily a top 10.

Kashawn Atchison made it a 6-0 contest with the assists on the goal going to the Brantford Bulldogs Jake O’Brien and Levis, Quebec native Justin Carbonneau at 14:09 of the third period.

Boston University commit Jack Murtagh gets the US on the board and wrecks Ravensbergen’s shut out. He may of been bored like it was a very slow night for him tonight. The assists on the goal went to Cole McKinney and Bob McKenzie’s 11th ranked prospect Will Moore.

Shots on goal in the third period were 8-6 for Team CHL. Team CHL outshot the Americans 29-16.

Joshua Ravensbergen made 15 saves on the 16 shots for the win for CHL. For the Americans. Kennett Square, Pennsylvania native Patrick Quinlan made 23 saves on the 29 shots he faced. Quinlan is committed to Notre Dame.

Player of the game was Matthew Schaefer of the Erie Otters
