Led by captain and projected 2027 NHL Draft top pick Landon DuPont, who opened the scoring and earned player-of-the-game honours, the Canadians never looked back after an early exchange of goals, turning what began as a competitive tilt into a statement win that showcased their depth and skill.

The projected 2027 NHL draft top pick needed only a deft touch to tuck the puck home, with assists going to Joseph and Maddox Schultz.

Vaughn, Ontario native Camryn Warren scores a beauty to regain the lead for Canada at 5:12 of the first period with the assists on the goal going to Liam Pue and Estevan, Saskatchewan native Boston Tait.–Just 19 seconds after Slovakia tied the score, Camryn Warren restored Canada’s lead with a nifty move in front of the net, deking the goaltender before sliding the puck home for a 2-1 advantage. The goal, assisted by Liam Pue and Boston Tait, came early in the first period and proved to be the game-winner in Canada’s dominant victory.

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native Kayden Stroeder makes it a 3-1 game for Canada at 9:48 of the second period during the Power Play with the assists on the goal going to Ryerson Edgar and Prince Albert Raider Brock Cripps.–Halfway through the second period on the power play, Kayden Stroeder cleaned up a loose puck in front to give Canada a 3-1 lead over Slovakia. The goal, assisted by Ryerson Edgar and Cripps, marked his first of two on the night and extended Canada’s control of the game.

Ryerson Edgar makes it a 4-1 game for the Canadians at 1:53 of the third period. The assists on the goal went to Brock England and Brock Cripps.–Early in the third period, Ryerson Edgar scored to extend Canada’s lead to 4-1 over Slovakia. The goal was assisted by Brock England and Cripps as Canada continued to pull away in the contest.
Kayden Stroeder makes it a 5-1 game with his second goal of the game at 3:44 of the third period. The helpers on the goal went to Landon Dupont and Jaakko Wycisk.–In the third period, Kayden Stroeder finished off a pass from Landon DuPont to score his second goal of the night and push Canada’s lead to 5-1 over Slovakia. The tally was also assisted by Jaakko Wycisk as Canada continued to dominate.
Liam Pue makes it 6-1 at 11:21 of the third period. The assists on the goal went to Maddox Schultz and Camryn Warren.–Late in the third period, Liam Pue finished off a beautiful passing play to score and make it 6-1 for Canada over Slovakia. The goal was assisted by Maddox Schultz and Camryn Warren as Canada sealed the dominant win.
Shots on goal in the third period were 18-9 for the Canadians. Canada outshot the Slovaks 48-13 in the game.
For the Canadians Leif Oaten stopped 12 of the 13 shots he faced for the win. For the Slovaks Nicko Zakk Havel stopped 42 of the 48 shots that he faced.
Landon DuPont was named the player of the game (star of the game) for Canada.
Canada’s next game is August 5th Wednesday against Team Sweden.
